Many people ask us this question, is it permissible to take tail wages?

Just like the other matters of religion, it is permissible to earn wages by doing the work of imam, public speaking, serving the mosque, serving the seminary, muezzin, teaching, and this is proven by authentic hadiths. In the same way, it is permissible and proven by authentic hadiths to take wages by cheating on the Qur’an and hadiths.

Abu Saeed Al-Khudri narrates that some of the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by one of the Arab tribes and did not give them a feast. He said to the Companions, Do you have any medicine or an antidote for it? The Companions said, “You people did not show us hospitality, so we will not die until then.” Until you fix our wages, so they decided to give some goats, then one of them started reciting Surah Al-Fatihah, collecting saliva in his mouth while exhaling and applying it to the affected area. By doing this, that chief was cured.

When the Tribe brought goats, the Companions said, “We cannot take these goats until we ask the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about it.” So they asked him, so he smiled and said: How did you know that you can die from Surah Fatiha? Take the goats and share them for me. (Sahih Bukhari: 5736)

It is in the tradition of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, he came to his companions with some goats, but they did not think well of him saying, “Have you read the Book of Allah and received a reward?”

Finally, when these gentlemen came to Madinah, they said, O Messenger of Allah, this person has taken a reward for the Book of Allah (Quran).

You are the reward of things, the most remunerative of them is the Book of Allah. (Sahih Bukhari: 5737)

Many things can be understood from this blessed hadith that there is no problem in making a decision in advance.

Some of the Companions of the Prophet (May God bless him and grant him peace) thought that they would get a reward from the Holy Qur’an, so Allah removed the problems and said that the Book of Allah is the most rewarding of all those whose reward you receive.

Dum Sahabi said from Surah Fatiha.

It has been proven that one can die by reciting the verses of the Holy Qur’an about oneself.

In a tradition of Sahih Bukhari, it has been said that these people have tried all kinds of treatment for their patients but did not use any method. (Sahih Bukhari: 2276)

In a tradition of Musnad Ahmad, the writer Karamaj killed thirty (30) goats. (Musnad Ahmad: 11086, Sahih)

Imam Bukhari, like other Muhadditheen, is also of the opinion that one can take wages.
Imam Bukhari has proved the order of what should be given in exchange for dying after reciting Fatiha on the Arabs from this chapter.

As long as it is permissible to take wages, it is also permissible. People who forbade this practice could not present any strong reasons and arguments.

One more arguments in favor

Al-Khahir ibn Salat Tamimi narrates from his uncle (Alaqah ibn Suhar Sulayti) that he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and accepted Islam. Then when he returned back, he passed by a nation, with them was a mad man, who was bound in chains. His family members said to them, “Investigation, we have received news that this Sahib of yours (the Messenger of Allah, May God bless him and grant him peace) has come with good health, so do you have anything with which you can treat him?” So I suffocated him with Surah Al-Fatiha and he was cured, then they gave me one hundred (100) goats, so I attended the service of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and gave him the news. He asked, “Is that all?” Masdad said on another occasion, did you read anything else? I said no, so he (peace be upon him) said: “Swear, people of my age are eating falsely from the grass, while you are eating from the truth.” (Abu Dawud: 3896, Hasan).

Many things are proved by traditions. The Sahabi determined the days for dying at will and determined the time of morning and evening by himself.

The justification for taking one hundred (100) goats

It is your specialty to swear by the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam.

Like a doctor may charge a fee for giving time to a patient, a psychologist may charge a fee for counseling a patient, similarly a spiritual healer may charge a fee for counseling a patient with Quran and Sunnah. On the contrary, it is understood from the blessed hadith that the one who treats according to the Qur’an and Sunnah has more right to charge a fee. It is permissible to comfort a patient with the Qur’an and Sunnah, and it is also permissible to take wages only for legitimate comfort.
Holy Prophet (PBUH) Said:
Among the things you take a reward for, the most remunerative is the Book of Allah. (Sahih Bukhari: 5737)
